March Oxtales

March Oxtales has been released!
It’s been an eventful few months, and not always for the better.  Covid-19 has cancelled a load of coming events, but this month’s newsletter looks back on an excellent Wyong Field Day and features 3 excellent articles submitted by club members.  Our thanks as always to all who contributed to this issue.  Stay safe everyone.

Antenna Shootout Cancelled, it’s a Washout!

Tomorrow’s ORARC Antenna Shootout has been cancelled due to weather.  It’s great to see some rain, but less that a flood would be greatly appreciated!  Henry VK2ZHE writes:

The ORARC Antenna Shootout planned for this Sunday the 9th of February 2020 at the Tuffins Lane Sportsfields is cancelled. The Port Macquarie Hastings Council has closed the sportsfields for the weekend due to the state of the grounds so the venue is not available. The ground is saturated and there are many pools of water there.

This is the first time that the Antenna Shootout has been cancelled.

The inconvenience to everyone is regretted.

A new date for the Antenna Shootout will be negotiated subject to the availability of the sportsfields.
