ORARC 47th Annual Field Day Program (2023)

The Oxley Region Amateur Radio Club annual Field Day will be held at the Wauchope Showground hall with all the usual field day activities on Saturday and Sunday the 10th and 11th of June 2023 during the King’s Birthday Long Weekend.  The Field Day dinner will be held at the Port Macquarie Golf Club on the Saturday night.  Mark your calendar now.  The Wauchope Showground permits camping so it is possible to stay on site in your own motor home, caravan or tent with power and amenities.

6m Repeater On-Air!

The milestones for the new repeater site just keep on getting hit, the 6m repeater is now in service!

Repeater details are as follows:

Repeater Output: 53.800 MHz
Repeater Input: 52.800 MHz (-1MHz Offset)
Mode: Analog FM
No CTCSS required
91.5Hz Tone required as of 21/5/23.
Optional 91.5Hz Output tone for users experiencing random squelch openings.

Please give it a try at your convenience, noting best results will be achieved with a vertically polarized antenna. Initial test indicate impressive range, as can be expected on the VHF Low Band!
